Bunny rabbits are usually the stars of Easter but make sure your dog knows he’s the number one furry creature in your life by cooking up a themed treat just for him.
Eggs are great for your pooch because they’re the most concentrated, valuable form of protein that a dog can get and our deviled eggs recipe is simple to make and dogs love them!
•First, hard boil a couple of eggs (Cover the eggs with cool water. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and let rest for 10 minutes in water)
•Peel the eggs, cut in half and remove yolks.
•Instead of using traditional mayo, we’ve used dog-friendly cottage cheese. Blend the cottage cheese and the yolks until creamy.
•We’ve also skipped the spices and mixed in some fresh or dried herbs for extra flavor instead. Cilantro, dill, mint or parsley are all dog-friendly and have awesome health benefits.
Over at PawCurious.com, Dr. V. took it one step further dressing her eggs up like little chicks. If you’re having guests over, they might appreciate the egg’stra special touch! See her recipe (pictured above) here…
Always remember, if you’re unsure how your dog will react to a particular ingredient, it’s best to check with your vet before feeding it to your dog.
